If you're in Israel, even for a day, you can volunteer with Table to Table. Among your opportunities to rescue food:

o Harvest Fruit and Vegetables in fields of Israel
o Collect excess food at night from a celebration hall in your neighborhood
o Help us prepare sandwiches in the morning for schoolchildren
o Come into our offices, or work at home, and help with computer or administrative tasks.

Table to Table was founded by volunteers, and our volunteers continue to drive our organization to new heights. Our volunteers come from around the world and from nearly every walk of Israeli life. We are religious and secular, immigrants and native Israelis, university professors and blue collar workers, and we all share at least one common goal: A desire to help people in need.
